How to Install Ellipsend as an App on Your Phone

You can install Ellipsend directly to your home screen for quick access. It’ll open full-screen just like a native app, load faster than the browser, and feel more seamless in daily use.

What is a Progressive Web App?

Both iPhone and Android let you save what’s called a Progressive Web App—essentially a website that behaves like a native app on your phone.

Once saved, Ellipsend will:

  • Open full-screen (no browser bar)

  • Load faster than in your browser and store your login session

  • Send you directly to your dashboard with one tap

It’s the quickest way to access Ellipsend on your phone and it feels just like using a regular app!

How to Install on iPhone (Safari)

⚠️ If you're using an iPhone, please note that this only works in Safari — not Chrome or other browsers.

  1. Open and log in to ellipsend.com in Safari.

  2. Tap the Share icon (square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen.”

  4. Rename it if you’d like (we recommend Ellipsend) and tap Add in the top-right corner.

Done! Ellipsend will appear on your home screen. You can now tap it anytime to launch directly.

How to Install on Android (Chrome)

  1. Open and log in to ellipsend.com in Chrome.

  2. Tap the three dots ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “Add to Home screen.”

  4. Rename it if desired, then tap Add and confirm.

That’s it! Ellipsend will now appear on your home screen and open full-screen like a native app.

Troubleshooting

If you don’t see the “Add to Home Screen” option:

  • Make sure you’re using Safari (on iPhone) or Chrome (on Android).

  • Refresh the page and wait a few seconds — the option sometimes appears after the site fully loads.

  • Check that you’re visiting https://www.ellipsend.com, not a redirected or cached link.
