1. Identify other messaging tools
Think about any other services, bots, or auto-responders you’ve connected to Instagram or Facebook Messenger.
Examples include:
– Built-in instant replies
– Chatbots
– Third-party tools
2. Turn them off or revoke access
Log into those tools and disable active automations.
If it’s a third-party app, you can also remove access via Facebook:
Facebook > Settings > Security > Business Integrations
Find the old tool and remove it from the list.
Facebook > Settings > Advanced Messaging
Remove any competing app and enable every setting for Ellipsend
3. Disable Instagram Quick Replies (if used)
If you’ve set up Instagram’s Quick Replies or Instant Replies, turn them off in the Instagram app settings to avoid overlaps with Ellipsend.
4. Confirm Ellipsend is the only active tool
Double-check that no other services are replying to DMs or comments.
