Replay Comments runs your comment automation for people who already commented on an Instagram post. Use it when people commented and didn't get your DM. It's on every plan.
For a single person, you don't need a replay: open Comments in the left menu and click Reply privately on their comment. See Reply to a Comment With a Private DM.
Before You Start
Replay Comments needs three things.
The post is on Instagram. It doesn't work for Facebook posts.
A Comment automation is assigned to the post. Other automation types, like Live Comment, can't be replayed.
Public Comment Replies is turned off in that automation.
Setting up a Comment automation and choosing its posts is covered in Automations.
Replay the Comments
Click Posts in the left menu.
Find the post and click the three dots on it.
Click Replay Comments.
What Gets Replayed
Ellipsend goes back through the comments left on that post in the last 7 days and runs the automation for them. Comments older than 7 days aren't replayed.
Who Gets Skipped
Anyone who already got the DM from Ellipsend is skipped, so a replay won't message them twice.
Ellipsend can't see messages another tool sent. If you moved over from a tool like ManyChat and it already answered comments on that post, a replay messages those people again.
