Quick Start: Build Your Ellipsend Inbox Dashboard in Claude

Build a private speed-to-lead and inbox coverage dashboard on your own Ellipsend data in one Claude chat.

This builds a private dashboard on your own Ellipsend data in one Claude chat. You'll see how fast your team replies to new contacts compared with your normal week, which contacts are still waiting on a reply, and when your setters are actually in the inbox. It only reads your data. It never sends a message or changes a contact.

Here's what you'll end up with.

Before You Start

You need three things.

You don't need to connect Ellipsend as a connector for this. The dashboard uses your key directly.

Allow Claude to Reach Ellipsend

This is the step people miss. Claude runs the dashboard in its own workspace, and that workspace can only visit websites you allow. You need to let it reach mcp.ellipsend.com.

On a Pro or Max Plan

  1. Open Settings, then Capabilities.

  2. Under Code execution and file creation, turn on Cloud code execution and file creation and Allow network egress.

  3. Under Domain allowlist, leave the dropdown on None. Type this into Additional allowed domains and click Add.

mcp.ellipsend.com

If your dropdown is already on All domains, you're set. Claude can reach every website, Ellipsend included.

On a Team or Enterprise Plan

Only an owner or admin can change this, and it applies to everyone on your team.

  1. Click your name in the bottom left and choose Organization settings.

  2. Click Capabilities and scroll down to Code execution.

  3. Make sure Allow network egress is on.

  4. Under Domain allowlist, add mcp.ellipsend.com to Additional allowed domains, or set the dropdown to All domains.

If you're not the admin, send them this section.

Build the Dashboard

  1. Start a new chat in Claude and attach ellipsend-inbox-dashboard.zip.

  2. Type "build my Ellipsend inbox dashboard" and send it.

  3. Paste your MCP key when Claude asks.

  4. Answer the setup questions. Claude asks who's on your team, how your inbox is covered (set shifts, the same hours for everyone, no fixed schedule, or always on), your time zone, your reply-time targets, and what you sell.

Claude reads the last 30 days of conversations, so the first run takes a while. Expect a few minutes on a small account and 20 minutes or more on a busy one. Keep the chat open while it works.

When it's done, you get the dashboard as a page in the chat. Every contact on it links straight to that conversation in your Ellipsend inbox.

Run It Again Later

Open a new chat, attach the same zip, and ask again. Your numbers will be fresh. Download the zip again every so often, since we update it.

If It Stops

Claude tells you in plain English what went wrong. The usual three:

  • Your key didn't work. Check you pasted all of it, or make a new key in Ellipsend.

  • Claude can't run code. Turn on Cloud code execution and file creation in Capabilities.

  • Claude can't reach Ellipsend. mcp.ellipsend.com isn't allowed yet. Go back to the Allow Claude to Reach Ellipsend section above.
