Quick Start Guide

Follow this guide to go from a brand-new account to sending and managing DMs inside Ellipsend with a clean, reliable baseline setup you can build on.

Before You Get Started

Before connecting anything, make sure you’re set up to have admin access to the Facebook Page and Instagram Account you plan to use on Ellipsend.

1) Connect Your Socials

  1. Go to SettingsProfile

  2. Follow This Section of the Settings Guide to connect your Meta accounts.

  3. Follow This Section of the Settings Guide to select which Facebook and Instagram Accounts you want to use on Ellipsend.

  4. If you've previously been using tools like Manychat or GHL, ensure Ellipsend is allowed to receive messages (another app may currently hold thread control).

2) Invite Your Team

  1. Go to SettingsTeam

  2. Follow This Section of the Settings Guide to invite your team.

3) Set Up Assignment Settings

  1. Go to SettingsInboxAssignment

  2. Follow This Section of the Settings Guide to adjust Assignment Settings based on your team's workflow.

4) Create & Launch Your First Campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns Click the purple "+" by the "Campaigns" Header

  2. Follow the Campaign Wizard to create your first Campaign. Check out the Ellipsend Campaigns guide for a written and video walkthrough of the Campaign Wizard!

  3. When you get to the Automations step of the Campaign Wizard, follow This Section of the Automations Guide for help creating your first Automation.

5) Test Your Setup

  1. Go to Automations Select the Automation you just created

  2. Follow This Section of the Automations Guide to test that your accounts are connected and Automations are working correctly.

Common Issue: “Messages aren’t coming in”

If messages aren’t appearing, the most common cause is another tool holding thread control or acting as the primary receiver.

Run this quick checklist:

  1. Confirm you connected the correct Facebook Page and Instagram Account.

  2. Review Facebook Page SettingsConnected Apps to ensure Ellipsend is allowed to receive messages.

  3. Test again using a clean inbound DM from a separate, non-admin account.
