How to Cancel Your Subscription or Request a Refund

Where to cancel, what happens to your access, and when a refund is possible.

You can cancel your Ellipsend subscription yourself at any time. This page also covers refunds and what to do about a charge that looks wrong.

If you're cancelling because something isn't working, message us in the chat first. A lot of problems have a quick fix.

Cancel Your Subscription

You need the Owner or Admin role to open billing. Here's how to cancel.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing. This opens your billing page, which is run by Stripe, our payment processor.

  2. Under Current subscription, click Cancel subscription.

If a smaller plan would fit better, you can downgrade instead of cancelling. The Billing article shows how.

What Happens After You Cancel

Cancelling stops your next renewal. You keep full access through the end of the period you already paid for. Unused time isn't prorated or refunded.

Refunds

Purchases are non-refundable by default. There is one exception for new subscribers. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment. We may deny or reduce a refund if usage in that window was unusually high.

Renewals and upgrades aren't covered. Enterprise or custom contracts follow the refund terms in the signed order form.

To ask for a refund, email support@ellipsend.com or message us in the chat. Send it from the email on your account.

The full policy is on the refund and cancellation policy page.

A Charge You Don't Recognize

If a charge looks wrong, contact us before disputing it with your bank. A chargeback that isn't resolved can lead to your account being suspended while it's looked into.

A separate $99 monthly charge is usually an extra Inbox Agent seat. Seats bill monthly on their own, even when your plan is annual. The Billing article covers seats. For what each plan includes, see Plans and Limits.
