Every contact in your inbox got there somehow: a comment on a post, a reply to a story, an ad, or a direct message. The contact panel now shows that source, with the post preview and the revenue credited to it, plus a full history of everything that happened since.
The Source Card
Open any conversation and look at the contact panel on the right. The Source section sits near the top of the panel. It shows the latest source for this contact:
The type. Post, Ad, Story, Referral, or Direct message.
The post. A preview image and the caption, so you know which piece of content did the work.
The date the contact came in through it.
Revenue attributed. The total revenue from this contact credited to that source, all time. A contact who has paid shows the amount; everyone else shows $0 until they do. If the total can't be verified yet, the pill reads Attribution unavailable.
Click the arrow on the right of the card to open the original post in a new tab.
A contact who messaged you before tracking started, or whose entry point was never recorded, shows No recorded source.
Open the Full History
Click Full history under the card. The contact history opens with the latest source pinned at the top and a timeline below it, newest first. The count at the bottom tells you how many events were recorded.
Each row shows what happened, when, and who did it. A source row quotes the contact's own words (their comment, their story reply, their first DM) under the post caption. A stage change, a logged activity or an assignment shows the teammate who made it.
Filter by What You Need
The chips under the header narrow the timeline:
Sources & posts. Every post, story, ad or DM that brought the contact in or re-engaged them.
Pipeline Stage. Campaign adds and stage changes.
Activities. Activities logged on the contact, with the values entered.
Automations. Every automation the contact entered and each step it ran.
Team. Assignments, labels and other actions by your team.
Automation Runs Are Grouped
When a contact enters an automation, every step it ran (messages, buttons, delays, the positioning question) is collapsed into one row: Entered [automation name] with a step count and the time range. Click the row to expand the steps. Repeated identical events collapse the same way.
When to Use It
Before you reply to a contact someone else was working, open the history. The source tells you what they were interested in, the automation steps tell you what they were already sent, and the stage changes tell you where the conversation stands. For the account owner, the attribution on the Source card is the quickest answer to which post is making money.
